Exercise And Fitness – Reflection From March 5, 2026
Today’s date: March 6, 2026
I had a great workout yesterday night.
I did the squat exercise on the smith machine during this workout.
I added 5 x 45 pound plates to each side of the smith machine barbell.
This is approximately 475 pounds because the smith machine barbell description mentions that the bar weighs around 25 pounds. I was able to squat 30 reps at this weight. This squat workout felt great.
My squat depth was probably closer to quarter squats in this workout. I feel like I could probably get closer to parallel squats in the future with this weight and rep amount. My range of motion in previous workouts, on the smith machine squat exercise, were probably closer to parallel squats.
However, my range of motion on my squats vary from parallel to quarter squats. I mostly just aim for a great workout when I am exercising.

This workout update is similar to some of my previous workout reflections because I am still squatting with 475 pounds. I think it is a pretty good exercise.
Sometimes I squat with 615 pounds like in this workout reflection here. I squat with 615 pounds instead of 475 pounds every so often to keep the workouts interesting.
