Fun Weekend Projects Reflection – Sunday, February 1, 2026

I’ve been thinking about making a new social media website and mobile application for some time. I think 2026 is a great time to make progress on this new social media idea on the weekends for fun.

I think it will be fun to make something simple for posting random thoughts.

Users on this platform will get a profile picture and they get to request friends to connect with them. If people connect with each other, they can post what’s on their mind and see each other’s posts. This type of social network doesn’t even need the ability to post pictures. Haha…

This fun weekend project will probably take me a while to setup. It will be fun to post my random thoughts onto this social network when it is done.

I feel like I have a lot of random thoughts and posts that might be a good fit for posting on this new fun, weekend project, social network of mine. Some of my random thoughts might be too simple, informal, or random for an individual blog post. Haha…

This is also a great chance to connect this new platform with my previously built Lyric messenger. Users of this new social network can put their Lyric messenger contact on their profile bio if other people need to message them.

I think this is a great way for me to become more technologically self sufficient in terms of the apps and websites that I use on a daily basis.

If I think of something else throughout the day, I might add to this blog post.
